Metier Academy Ltd, a leading provider of corporate training programmes, recently launched a new online Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Academy at Offshore Europe.
The workshop, which is the only one of its kind in Europe, is set to become the leading industry standard for HSE training in the oil and gas industry.
The HSE Academy is the first health and safety training programme to offer interactive courses that combine a mix of web-based learning with virtual and real life classroom tutorials, ensuring that HSE training is possible in even the most remote of places. Metier, an expert in professional development, is promising to influence the North Sea’s health and safety learning culture by making learning infinitely more accessible to staff at all times and ensuring that all individuals get a complete knowledge of HSE issues.
Metier’s commercial manager, Alan Stevenson, said: “Metier recognised there was a need for a more convenient way of learning practical and theoretical health and safety practices in the oil and gas industry. We developed a learning strategy that would not only be accessible to those working in offices, but also to those working offshore and who wouldn’t usually have the means to follow standard training courses.”
