Energy industry leaders will get together to explore the challenges of subsea pipeline integrity at a one-day conference in London on 1st December 2011.

Subsea UK is hosting the Subsea Pipelines Integrity Management Conference, in partnership with the Pipeline Industries Guild and the Society of Underwater Technology (SUT). A panel of industry speakers will tackle the pressing issues of subsea pipeline inspection, maintenance and repair.

Subsea UK chief executive Neil Gordon explained: “The complex but mission-critical issue of monitoring and maintaining pipeline integrity is increasingly important to our sector. It is vital that operators have a sustainable strategy in place that allows them to monitor their assets and make quick and effective decisions in the case of any flaws to prevent an incident.

“This conference is an ideal platform to exchange ideas, knowledge and technology as well as the opportunity to share best practice to meet business objectives, particularly with regard to legacy assets that are required to continue operation beyond their original design lifetimes.”

The conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear leading industry experts from BP, Schlumberger, Chevron, Penspen and DNV take on the pressing issues of inline inspection, implementing integrity management plans, risk-based inspections and emergency pipeline repair systems.
